The main goal of this project is to introduce the countries, nationalities, and lifestyles of people in Central Asia to those who are not familiar with. Central Asia, which nowadays officially consists of five countries; Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan has a long, fascinating unique history, and its own stories to be told. However, Afghanistan that is within South Asia and the province of Xinjiang, China, also known as East Turkestan historically considered to be part of the Greater Central Asia. These countries which also colloquially referred to as "the Stans" have always had debatable border issues. Although they do have many things in common, and historically most of the time considered to be almost one land, now they have become independent states, except East Turkestan of course.

Nowadays, diverse ethnicities live in Greater Central Asia, and all of them have their stories that many people never heard about. This project is more like telling stories, and its purpose is to share historical and modern-day stories of diverse groups of people, their shared values, lifestyles and customs.
